| Change Management in Extension - Agritex, Zimbabwe | This involvement was a follow up of the work of PICO member Dr. Hagmann, as a technical co-operation expert with GTZ in Zimbabwe from 1991 to 1995, which developed a highly successful rural extension approach. This phase of work concentrated on institutionalization and operationalisation of the new approach within the provincial and later national extension system. Major changes in management systems had to be facilitated to align the organization towards more effective delivery. The main tasks were the development of concepts and strategies for human capacity building, operationalisation of participatory extension approaches through organisational development / change. This includes facilitation of change programmes, coaching and mentoring of management and operational staff / teams, curriculum development, development of reference materials, videos etc. The work was terminated in 2002 due to the political situation in Zimbabwe. |
